Ten Reasons For Servo Motor Failure

Three-phase AC servo motors are widely used, but after long-term operation, various failures occur. Identifying the cause of the fault in time and handling it accordingly is an important task to avoid fault expansion and ensure the normal operation of the equipment.

The main faults and profiling are as follows:

1. Motor encoder alarm

2. Motor broken shaft

3. The motor no-load current is unbalanced, and the three-phase phase difference is large.

4. When the motor is running, the sound is abnormal and there is abnormal noise.

5. The motor is difficult to start. When the rated load is used, the motor speed is lower than the rated speed.

6. After the power is turned on, the motor can't roll, but there is no abnormal noise, no smell or smoke.

7. Motor oscillation is large during operation

8. After the power is turned on, the motor does not turn and has a click.

9. Bearing overheating

10. The motor is overheated and even smokes
